We are looking for a precise, methodical and practical technician with a sound understanding of complete switchgear assemblies. You will carry out factory testing, complete commissioning at customer sites and perform basic maintenance. Your work makes the switchgear ready for delivery: confirming that it operates as intended, preventing customer issues and enabling project completion and invoicing.
01 / YOUR CONTRIBUTION
What you will do.
At the factory · approximately 70–80%
Distribution switchgear testing
- Test LV/MV distribution switchgear: Power Centers, secondary distribution boards, MCCs and LSC2A / LSC2B MV switchgear.
- Check conformity with electrical diagrams, wiring, bills of materials and panel layouts.
- Carry out end-of-line electrical tests and measurements: continuity, insulation, wiring accuracy, auxiliary circuit operation, interlocks, controls and indications.
- Identify faults, manage non-conformities and work with manufacturing and engineering to resolve them.
- Prepare test reports and delivery documentation.
At customer sites · approximately 20–30%
Commissioning and basic maintenance
- Commission switchgear at customer sites: pre-energisation checks, functional checks, completion of assembly and start-up support.
- Perform basic maintenance: periodic and functional checks, circuit breaker replacement, adjustments and fault diagnosis, escalating internally when needed.
- Close each service visit with a clear report on equipment condition, work performed and recommended actions.
02 / THE SKILLS THAT MATTER
What you bring.
- Read and use single-line and multi-line electrical diagrams, terminal layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Understand switchgear mechanics, including enclosures and busbar systems.
- Work methodically, with traceability and attention to safety, using checklists and repeatable tests.
- Use field and test equipment, including multimeters and insulation and continuity testers.
- Take a practical approach: identify what is missing from an assembly and act to complete it and move delivery forward.
03 / THE VALUE OF YOUR WORK
Where you make a difference.
Verified, documented switchgear, faults resolved before delivery and clearly completed site work. Testing turns the whole team’s work into a solution ready to enter service.
