Designing and manufacturing in-house keeps knowledge close to every decision. At ICEL, electrical and mechanical engineering work alongside the people who turn the project into a switchboard.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
We design the circuits and protection systems.
Single-line diagrams, switchboard layouts, component selection and protection logic: the electrical architecture starts with the plant’s real requirements.
ENCLOSURES AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
We design and manufacture the enclosure.
We design frames, sheet-metal parts and internal partitions. We manufacture them using our own punching and bending machines, applying the know-how of our type-tested enclosure designs.
COPPER AND ALUMINIUM
We manufacture copper and aluminium busbars.
We process copper and aluminium to manufacture busbars and connections. Materials, cross-sections and geometry are selected to suit the project, for efficient and safe power distribution.
ASSEMBLY
We assemble the enclosure and equipment.
Enclosures, busbars and equipment become one structure. In-house assembly connects the overall design with attention to every manufacturing detail.
WIRING
We wire the power and auxiliary circuits.
We carry out power and auxiliary-circuit wiring in-house. The electrical design takes shape in the connections that make the switchboard work.
TESTING AND DELIVERY
We test the switchboard before delivery.
Testing completes the manufacturing process. We check the switchboard before preparing it for packing and delivery to the customer.

ICEL’s medium-voltage range uses licensed ABB technology. LHS UniSec Air serves secondary distribution and LHX 2.0 UniSafe primary distribution. Units and apparatus are selected from the configurations described in the respective catalogue.
Explore the detailsCan I attend the FAT and which documents accompany the switchboard?
Yes. A factory acceptance test (FAT) can be arranged with the customer and its inspectors at ICEL in Brescia, with the programme and project checks agreed in advance. Handover documentation includes as-built drawings, the declaration of conformity, manuals and apparatus documentation. Specify any additional documents in the project requirements.

Delivery times are established in the quotation according to configuration, apparatus availability and the project schedule. In-house management of the key engineering and manufacturing stages allows direct coordination. For larger projects, phased deliveries can be agreed to match site progress. Include the requested date and delivery priorities in your RFQ.
