02 / CONSTRUCTION
Independent sections, bolted together to suit the project. Main busbars and auxiliary wiring connect the assembly.
Front section
Circuit-breaker compartments enclosed by metal partitions and individual hinged front doors, with ventilation, auxiliary wiring passages and circuit-breaker fixing accessories.
First rear zone
Horizontal main busbars and vertical distribution busbars on the inner right-hand side. Lower-rated circuits branch from the distribution busbars; higher-rated circuits connect directly to the main or branch busbars.
Second rear zone
Space for cable or busbar connections. The rear of each section is closed by full-height doors.
Riveted frame with metal panels and partitions. The entire metal structure is earthed. Air-insulated busbars and self-extinguishing insulating supports with mechanical strength and anti-tracking properties.
Front and rear louvers, ducts alongside the compartments and roof outlets provide natural cooling. In the IAC version, ventilation flaps close automatically in the event of an internal arc.
Limited auxiliary equipment and terminals can share an upper compartment; larger quantities use dedicated compartments. The combination of functional units accounts for load diversity and section current-carrying capacity.
Coordinated construction with medium-voltage switchboards allows compact transformer substations, with the arrangement defined for the project.

06 / DIMENSIONS AND INSTALLATION
Range dimensions are the starting point. The final arrangement of sections and overall dimensions are defined in the project drawings.
Illustrative diagram, not to scale. No project-specific configuration is represented.
Dimensions listed in the general technical data sheet (p. 4). They depend on section type; not all combinations are equivalent or interchangeable.
Install on a level floor. Foundation channels are available on request.
The catalogue normally specifies M12 expansion anchors in the provided fixing holes.
The installation diagram shows over 1,200 mm at the front and over 1,000 mm at the rear. Confirm clearances against the project drawings.
The installation drawing shows an 80 mm protrusion above the switchboard body. This is not a ceiling-clearance dimension: check the overall height against the project drawings.
These tables retain the dimensional groups shown on pages 10 and 14. The values are catalogue references: they do not authorise arbitrary combinations and do not replace project drawings.

07 / TECHNICAL FAQ
The key information for a technical discussion about your plant.
Have a specific requirement?LPC is a primary low-voltage distribution switchboard for transformer and distribution substations in industrial plants and large commercial facilities. Its modular construction allows sections to be combined to suit the project’s electrical diagram.
The catalogue lists operational voltages up to 690 V AC or 750 V DC and a rated assembly current up to 6,300 A. Rated short-time withstand current Icw is up to 100 kA for 1 s, with Ipk up to 220 kA. Voltage ratings depend on the installed equipment; the final configuration is defined for the project.
LPC accommodates air circuit-breakers (ACBs) and moulded-case circuit-breakers (MCCBs), in fixed, plug-in or withdrawable versions. ICEL integrates ABB, Siemens and Schneider low-voltage equipment selected to suit the specification. Dimensions, connections and ratings of the specific combination are checked during engineering. For withdrawable devices, the catalogue distinguishes service, test, disconnected and removed positions.
All three forms separate busbars from functional units and functional units from one another. In form 3a, terminals are not separated from the busbars; in form 3b, they are. In form 4b, each unit’s terminals are also separated from other units’ terminals and located in a compartment separate from the associated functional unit.
The LPC catalogue documents dielectric and temperature-rise verification, short-circuit withstand, enclosure and protection tests, plus internal arcing and seismic tests. References include ACAE–LOVAG IT 13.121 and IT 14.023, INTEK RP2012-0404-00, ACAE–LOVAG IT 24.011 and EUCENTRE ICE039E23_TR_1. Each report relates to the tested conditions and configuration; ICEL checks its relevance to the requested supply.
Yes. The catalogue lists ACAE–LOVAG test IT 24.011 to IEC TR 61641 Ed. 3 at 100 kA for 0.3 s, criteria 1 to 5, and a dielectric test. These results refer to the tested configuration and are distinct from the rated short-time withstand current Icw.
The catalogue lists EUCENTRE (ACCREDIA) report ICE039E23_TR_1: severity level II, with accelerations of 1.0 g horizontally and 0.8 g vertically. Applicability to a project must be checked against the configuration and installation conditions.
The technical data sheet lists a height of 2,250 mm, base depths of 1,000, 1,200 or 1,400 mm and section widths of 500, 600, 700, 850, 1,000 or 1,100 mm. Installation is stationary and indoors, on a level floor. Overall dimensions, access clearances and section configuration are defined in the project drawings.
The technical discussion starts with the single-line diagram, network characteristics, required currents, loads and their diversity. It also considers the form of separation, circuit-breakers, cable or busbar connections, auxiliary circuits, service environment and available space.
